valentine

While the concept of decorating parks, trees and streets with twinkling lights may have started as a Christmas attraction in Tokyo, very often these ‘light-up’ events last well into the new year making for a charming low-key after-dark walk, not to mention a photogenic situation too!

kay me stylists suggest our knit dresses in red and pink, exclusively woven for kay me with extra thick knit to keep out the chill, and give a nod to the traditional colors of Valentine’s day.

For those looking for a more subtle but still feminine touch, stylists recommend our floral jersey dresses with special fleece-lining to keep you extra warm even outdoors.

What to wear for… a dinner out

If you’re out for dinner at a favorite restaurant, our pretty printed jersey dresses are always a classic choice that can be worn for any special event, from theater trips and exhibitions to posh presentations girls nights out. All our items are machine washable, drip-dry and non-iron, making them a time and stress saver for everyone.

kay me stylists suggest going all-in on floral themes such as our Rose and Candy Red flower patterned prints, or choosing the moonlight mystery of our stunning original Etoile dress.

For a non-patterned option, our Venus dress in striking red is a fabulous choice. Handmade from a single piece of fabric, our Venus dresses are artfully draped and tucked to create an effortless hourglass figure design – become Venus herself!

What to wear for… after-work drinks

As Valentine’s Day this year falls on a Thursday, perhaps you’ll be heading straight out after work, with no time to change. Not to worry, as kay me is designed with these situations in mind! Founder and CEO Junko Kemi’s background in consulting gave her the perfect insight into the needs of working women, leading her to create versatile clothing that she couldn’t wait to wear.

kay me stylists suggest our ‘docking’ dress with beautiful bold pink frill blouse attached to a classic charcoal gray skirt for a chic way to bring color into your office outfit. Other suit styles include our pretty frill collar jacket and pastel pink suit with mermaid skirt and ruffled cuff detailing.

For a burst of inspiration, try our Victory dress in pink – Junko drew the V-like pattern to represent victory, a lovely story that’s sure inspire.
