We’re very excited to announce our new special feature: it’s now possible to design your own custom dress on our international website!
After rolling out our new custom order feature in our Japanese stores and Japanese webshop, we’ve now brought the ability to design your own dress to our international customers around the world.
So, how does it work?
After navigating to the “design your own dress” page, start by choosing from seven of our most popular dress patterns – for more on dress silhouettes, take a look at our recent blog. From our classic hourglass Venus Drape and fit-and-flare A-line cache-coeur to the universally flattering waist-gathered dress, there’s a style to suit every occasion.
Next, choose your size – please note that currently the design your own dress feature is only available in kay me standard sizing. Please feel free to enquire about sizing outside our current range.
You can choose the length of your dress, too. Great for those with long torsos or shorter legs, or customers who wish for a dramatically different look to our standard patterns.
Then select your desired sleeve length, from sleeveless all the way through to long sleeves. With five sleeve length options, there’s plenty to choose from.
Finally, complete your custom dress by selecting the fabric. Currently available are five solid colours, including black, navy and pink, and eleven original kay me prints. Will you choose pretty florals, striking stripes or elegant polka dots? Our Japanese customers have told us this is the hardest step, narrowing down your final choice to just one combination. Of course, you can always order more than one dress…
If you’d like to change your mind, easily navigate back to previous pages and refine your selection.
After confirming your final choice, your dream dress with then be painstakingly handmade by the kay me atelier team working in Tokyo, and will be delivered to your door within three to four weeks.
Creating your own dress has never been so simple. Become your own kay me designer today – and don’t forget to share the results with us using #kay me on Instagram.
